Brotherly Love Whether They Like It or Not

Justin's bday party

So here I am again with a large gap between posts, it's almost like I forgot that I had a blog for the fam. Oh, no..wait...I DID forget! Life is so busy and my blogging has taken the hit. It seems like the days blur by and weeks roll into months and suddently it's supposed to be spring. Supposed to be is the key word around this neck of Minnesota (and sounds like much of MN - it's more like March weather than May).

The boys are are at very fun ages where they play very well together (and of course fight well together). They are two different boys, Colin will play barn set and name every tractor that exsists and Justin will play with his basketball hoop and ball for an hour. The look different, act different but are still connected by their brotherly bond.

Recently, Colin went on a trip to Kentcuky with Grandma and Grandpa Lande to visit Paul, April, Dylan and Evan. They were gone for 6 six days and Justin was lost without his brother. He asked every day when he was coming back and told everyone he saw that his brother was in Kentucky. At one point is his desperate attempt to play on his own, he looked at me and then looked at his stuffed animals and started to wrestle with them. When they didn't seem to work like he may have thought, he looked at me again and said, "mommy, will you wrestle with me?" Ahh, no buddy, I said but continued to tickle and kiss him. He was bored and lost and doesn't know life without a big brother to boss him around, play with him and even stick up for him when needed. Seeing his emotions of loss was precious, he loves his brother. Colin tried to play it cool but he admitted he missed his brother too. Last night, they had to sleep together - oh, brotherly love.
